The Sixteen Candles Have Gone Out
I‘m in the middle of typing up my Top Five Movies of the 80’s and Rick Tweets:
rickoshea @darrenbyrne No… Not tonight of all nights… RT @BreakingNews: BULLETIN — REPORT: JOHN HUGHES HAS DIED.
TMZ.com have it up as breaking news. John Hughes, the 80’s era defining director, has died of a heart attack , aged 59. Hughes directed such classics as The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles and, on top of my list, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.
RIP John Hughes (1950-2009)
