6Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes – News from HP7
Do we have Harry Potter fans? Well if so then they will be delighted to learn that the first picture from the forthcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I has been published in USA Today. The pic depicts Harry, Ron and Hermione and the trio look like they mean business.
The paper also published quotes from director David Yates, long-time producer David Heyman, and Ron himself, actor Rupert Grint. The three have confirmed that the first part of the adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s seventh and last Potter outing will be more grounded that previous movies.
“It’s going to feel very real,” Yates said. “We’re going for a vérité approach. Being away from Hogwarts, they’re like these three refugees on the run. They’re out in the big bad world, facing real danger, unguarded by those wonderful benign wizards at Hogwarts. They don’t have a home to go to. We’re kind of pulling away from the magic a bit and bringing more reality to it.”
In other news, that’s sure to excite girly fans everywhere, and is probably an attempt to emulate Twilight, Yates has also confirmed that Daniel Radcliffe will appear naked at one point during the last two movies.
In one scene, “a horcrux (bad magic thingy containing part of Voldemort’s soul) defends itself by producing nightmarish visions, and one shows Hermione and Harry embracing and kissing,” explained Yates. “It’s something intriguing and sensual for Rupert to react to, and Dan will be bare for that.”
Now I don’t know why they feel the need to include that as it wasn’t in the books and it better add something of artistic merit or I’m writing a letter of complaint.
Part I is released November 19th, 2010 followed by Part II on July 15th, 2011.
Wow, yes that isn’t in the books and sounds like they are trying to win over some of the Twilight crowd. Will probably end up seeing it however, even though i still think the series was at its best with ‘Prisoner Of Azkaban’ (both book and movie). Am now dreading having to listen to loads of girls screaming in the cinema (or tittering) ? lol
Almost another year to wait for Deathly Hallows Part I, huge HP fan, hate the wait. Like Emlyn, not a fan of deviating from the book.
Is this the last one? Please be the last one.
It’s the last book, but it’s two movies.
well the scene where hermione and harry kiss is i the book but there not naki. seems a bit gratuitous though.
