Carrick-on-Shannon Water Music Festival 9-11 July
The Carrick-on-Shannon Water Music Festival will take place from today 9 July to Sunday 11 July in Carrick-on-Shannon (funny enough!).
Although I hadn’t heard of it before, this is the sixth annual Carrick-on-Shannon Water Music Festival and it looks like a pretty solid musical line up with all sorts of musical types from classical to traditional to jazz.
Personally, I’d quite like to check out De Danann tonight, the Wassa Wassa drum workshop tomorrow morning, Musical Mayhem – Classic and Modern Musical Moments from the Movies tomorrow afternoon, and Duke Special on Sunday evening ?
If you are in or near the area of Carrick-on-Shannon or just passing through on a barge or otherwise over the weekend it might be nice to call into one of the five venues to see what’s going on. The five venues are the Festival Marquee, The Dock Arts Centre, St. George’s Church of Ireland, The Landmark Hotel and Moon River.
