0An Irish Puffin is coming to Netflix next September
The Killkenny-based animation studio Cartoon Saloon, with global publisher Penguin, and Northern Irish children’s media company, Dog Ears, are bringing to the video streaming service a new series aimed at preschool kids: ‘Puffin Rock’.
The 13-episodes show follows Oona, “a charismatic and plucky young puffling, who along with her evercurious little brother Baba, while she explores the diverse array of sea, sky, land and underground creatures” on an island off the coast of Ireland.
The show has already aired on January 2015 on RTEjr, and a second season has been confirmed, but on September 1st ‘Puffin Rock’ will premiere on Netflix in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, Benelux, France and Germany, followed by the other markets in the upcoming months.
