The Revenue Museum, Dublin Castle

Not a lot of people know this but, there does exist in Dublin a Revenue Museum. I heard Kate talk about it years ago when she was in Dublin for other stuff. It has long lived in my memory and between meets on Thursday I took the time eventually to walk through it.

I very much love my city that is Dublin, and the lesser explored Dublin Castle. And though I will admit it’s not my usual green sort of place to go; it does sit slap bang in the centre of my Fair City. And on a beautiful summers day, when the sun is shining it never quite seems to attract that hustle and bustle that may be you may wish to avoid. Throw in a wee little gem like The Revenue Museum and you now have more than one reason to go there, relax and unwind.

There’s a few things worth noting:

  • It’s free to enter. It’s not the size of a zoo. I highly recommend it.
  • Dublin Castle is also home to Dubh Linn Gardens. And Dublin Castle.
  • Ché Max - just outside the gates do really great coffee.
