13,500 people sing Hey Jude in Trafalgar Square, London

I don’t think I need to add much to this. It made me smile. Even if it is an ad for a phone company. That is P!nk in the crowd.

Brought to you by the same people behind the Liverpool Street Station dance.

Update: could we do something like this in Ireland? What song would we sing? Answer here!

    My GOD!
T-Mo are really on it with their commercials these days. That’s brilliant. Pity we’ll never see the full 4-min version on the telly.

  2. steph says:

Aw, brings back happy memories of a big Beatles medley we choired in DCU. Good times.

  3. voodoo says:

I have always thought that Hey Jude is very over-rated.

  4. Darren Byrne says:

Magnificent. Why has this not been done before now. It’s a shame it’s for commercial reasons, because what a wonderful feel good idea.

We should all gather on O’Connell Street once a week to sing Hey Jude…or maybe Galway Girl.

  5. Enda says:

Galway Girl might get you shot, Darren. :P

  6. Anthony McG says:

No way, no Galway Girl. Christ that tune gets on my nerves. It’s like it’s become some sort of second national anthem.

I reckon we could just hum the theme tune to Hawaii Five-O instead

  7. Darren Byrne says:

@Enda Aw, I like that song. You might be right though.

@Anto De de de de de deh, de de de de deh…

  9. Steph says:

Galway Girl? Heck no. July? Yes.

  10. Niamh says:

    It’s like giant karaoke!! lol.

Boo urns to any Mundy numbers on O’Connell Street, there has to be something better than that for a sing along

*off to check other post about sing-songs*

Damn it. I was determined to be cynical before watching this video but damn - I was moved!
