Comments are now closed on the Competition to win a pre release signed copy of Sarah Rees Brennan’s The Demon’s Lexicon. Sarah herself had the unenviable task of sifting through the 82 elaborate, complimentary, wonderful and crazy comments and she has chosen a winner. It shouldn’t have any affiliations with sporting, nationalist or religious undertones - so Fields of Athenry or anything Wolfe Tones is out, for example - and above all it should be fun. Something that people could sing unashamedly, out loud, with a feel good factor that shows that hey, the country might be in a bad state, but we’ll still come together on this day, at this time for a few minutes and sing out loud.
