**to view the original post click here. The sun is splitting the skies, the Phoenix Park looks spectacluar…. you simply can’t imagine what a show Bloom in the Park has turned out to be. To only mention the gardens is, maybe, what I should be doing…. but, as a garden builder and designer at Bloom - they are all [seriously] amazing and I simply can’t be pushed to just pick one. Anyone who designs and/ or builds a garden here is a genius in my eyes I will however give an over view of the entire Bloom experience & some of the interesting people I met on my sabatical The beautiful Maeve Desmond [International PR for Bord Bia] lets you know what you can expect to see… If kids entertainment is what you really want…? Darren’s Movie News 29/05/09

Right, there’s a crowd of us Culchie’s headed down the country for the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival over the next few days. Blogging may or may not be light, depending on both our access to the interwebs and our degree of inebriation. So, here’s a particularly well packed Movie News post to keep you going, for a wee while at least… Firstly, and rather thrillingly, DreamWorks have announced ten new animated projects. March 2010 sees the release of How to Train a Dragon with the voices of America Ferrera and Gerard Butler, followed by the fourth Shrek movie, Shrek Forever After in May. For Christmas 2010 they’ll have a satirical take on superhero movies with Robert Downey Jr., Ben Stiller and Tina Fey providing the voices in Oobermind.There will be sequels to Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda and a Shrek spin-off, Puss In Boots, which i’m excited about. Cat Laughs 2009 - Parting Thoughts

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been passing the bus stops and billboards advertising Cat Laughs with a little bit of a smug feeling inside. Thanks to lovely Lottie, we’ve had the whole thing planned in good time and we’re off to Kilkenny this weekend (as you’ve heard, oh, at least five times before lovely Culch readers). It’s not just the anticipation of laughing until it hurts for four days (it’s that too, but I’m feeling a bit of pressure to put some sort of new spin on this tale). There’s something a bit special about it. It feels like it’s free because I paid for the tickets so many weeks ago. I’m getting the train somewhere, which is a throwback to visiting Knock with the Mammy when I was little. I’m genuinely excited about the possibility of bringing a few sandwiches in tinfoil.
