My fave Placebo song has to be “Pure Morning” it’s such an amazing song! “A friend in need is a friend indeed, a friend with weed is better” - the lyrics are legendary!
I’ve never been to see them live, but there has been many a session where I’ve sang along to “Nancy Boy” jammed out on the guitar.
Every Me and Every You is my fave Placebo song. Please pick me.
‘My Sweet Prince’ is definitely my favourite Placebo song - piano gloom and Molko’s hissy-fit voice cracks in all its glory! Very appealling back when I was 15 years old and suffering from an inflamed sense of teenage angst!
My favourite Placebo song has to be ‘Taste In Men’. For me it signifies everything that is great about the band - sexually ambiguous lyrics and the very distinct sound of alternative rock with a hint of electronica. The dirty bass in particular is what I like best, although it has to be heard live to be fully appreciated. Placebo now play ‘Taste In Men’ as their encore so perhaps they feel the same way I do about the song. I’m really looking forward to hearing the energy the new drummer will bring to this song when I see them play the Olympia in December.
My favourite Placebo song is Nancy Boy. That was the first song of theres that I heard and I loved it. It was what hooked me into liking the band. I especially like the music video. It was played all the time when it was first released in 1996 on MTV. I also liked the way Brian Molko did his make up. In a strange way I even fancied him. I collected everything I could to do with the band. I would so love to win there new album Battle for the Sun. Please pick me. Im a die hard fan.
Saw them in the Olympia in 2000 and then at Witnness the following year, brilliant, loved “Slave To The Wage” I know it a bit cheesy but used to be a big favourite …now I am a slave to the wage!! *Run Away*
My favourite placebo song is actually a cover. I’m totally addicted to Running Up That Hill.
I listened to it so much my younger sister didn’t realise that their version was a cover, and was utterly shocked when she heard Kate Bush’s version on day when we were in the car.
Plus, I really like t-shirts. =)
Special needs for me. Was working in a horrible job in a bank when I was 19, absolutely hated it and was completely miserable. That song came on my mp3 player at random, I thought to hell with this, wrote out my resignation there and then, handed it in and went to college. Best move I ever made
i typed this comment with a pencil, an abacus and the power of a small mat and a fire…..

First time I saw placebo they played the late late show and after every you every me Gay was gobsmacked and went to a break. First time I saw them live I took my baby sister to her first ever gig for her birthday and we were both gobsmacked. I am looking forward to being gobsmacked by the new album.
