Angel Farrah Fawcett Dies Aged 62

Charlie’s Angels star Farrah Fawcett has lost her battle with cancer. The 70′s icon was diagnosed with cancer in 2006 and has been in critical condition for the past few months. Only days before her death, longtime love Ryan O’Neal said he hoped she would hang on long enough for them to wed:

I’ve asked her to marry me, again, and she’s agreed.

In her moving documentary about her battle with the disease, she bravely searched the world for a cure, highlighting the plight of others along the way:

I know that everyone will die eventually, but I do not want to die of this disease. I want to stay alive.

By the time the documentary aired in May, Fawcett was gravely ill, too sick to attend her own premiere.

Spare a thought for Farrah and her family today.
