As part of Belfast’s Belsonic ’09, Northern Ireland homeboy Duke Special will present DUKEBOX on Saturday August 29th in Custom House Square, in the heart of Belfast city centre. While Custom House Square will throw open its gates at 3pm for two stages of performers, the Duke will also present a programme of entertainment and street spectacle in the laneways and venues around Custom House Square from 12 noon on the day, which will be open to one and all.
Taking the train to Belfast is a relaxing two-hour journey, which costs around €40 return. The train station is less than 15 minutes walk from Custom House Square and the city centre and surrounds are brimming with a huge selection of accommodation to suit all tastes and pockets! Belsonic is Belfast’s most exciting summer music event which takes place from August 27th to 29th in the historic Custom House Square and spills over into the bustling laneways, bars, restaurants and cafes of the Cathedral Quarter. August 27th will feature Dizzie Rascal, Vampire Weekend and many more, while on Friday August 28th Belfast city centre will shake to the beats of 2ManyDJs, Deadmau5, Boys Noize and more to be announced. The festival will close with Duke Special’s DUKEBOX on Saturday August 29th. Tickets for all events can be purchased through the usual Ticketmaster outlets.
Yay! Eddie Izzard. I love him. Was going to get tickets for Belfast but will try Dubland now. Yay!
