What’s a Cinemash?

Mean Magazine have launched a new web series that lets celebrity talent mash up their favorite scenes from classic movies. In the show’s first season celebrities Cinemash such films as Training Day, Dirty Dancing, Tron, Point Break, Sid and Nancy, Carrie, and Oldboy.

The first in the series is love of my life Zooey Deschanel and Jospeh Gordon Levitt, both from 500 Days of Summer, cinemashing a pivotal scene from Sid and Nancy, directed by Marc Webb (the director of 500 Days of Summer). It’s not what you’d expect, to say the least:

Cheech and Chong have reunited to cinemash Tron and the guys from Reno 911 do Point Break.

Still to come, there’s Channing Tatum and Charlyne Yi’s Dirty Dancing, Heroes’ star Milo Ventimiglia cinemashing Oldboy, Will Arnett doing Carrie and Common and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin’) cinemashing Training Day.

To watch them as they’re released, check out the Cinemash MSN Movies Channel.
