Do you have what is takes to become the 1st Mister International Ireland and represent your country on an international scale? Well if so, then we’re looking for you..
The Mister International Ireland Team are scouring the nation this July, for some of the countries hottest male talent, with the winner going forward to represent the country in Taiwan in November, going head-to-head against contestants from 30 other nationalities to compete for the overall title of Mister International 2009.
With Ireland set to join the ranks on the international scale for the 1st time, this event, which first began in 2006, has fast become one of the world’s most prestigious competitions, and a launching pad for many aspiring male models, actors and rising stars.
The Irish national final selection takes place at The Button Factory, Temple Bar, Dublin on the Wednesday 12th August, so if you have what it takes, then we want to hear from you.
Prizes include: the Mister International Ireland title holder and trophy, a photoshoot with national magazine RSVP, a modelling contract with Bscene modelling agency, a calendar shoot for 2010, a sponsored suit, and the chance to represent Ireland on the international stage in Taiwan in November 2009.
With some of the countries hottest talent on board as MC’s, including Glenda Gilson (Xpose, TV3/Model) and Amanda Brunker (Author/Sunday World), we also have some of the countries more respected industry moguls on board to judge the event, including Ray Shah (Q102), Lisa Fitzpatrick (Stylist and TV personality), Brian Foley (Producer, Xposé), Sonja Mohlich (Stylist), Paula Lenihan (Editor, RSVP magazine), Paul Martin (Showbiz Correspondent, The Mirror), Sean Montague (Bscene-The Agency) and Deric Hartigan (National Director/TV3/RSVP).
Once your application has been submitted with good quality face and full length shots, entrants will then be narrowed down to 20 contestants..
If selected in the top 20, an application fee of €100 will apply. If you wish, you can find a company or associate business to sponsor you. In addition, all selected participants will be required to sell 10 tickets to the national final to friends and family. Tickets are priced at €20 each.
There is no cost to send in your initial application, only if your application is narrowed down to the final 20, will you be asked to pay the fee to proceed to the judging night at the Sugar Club.
Closing date for applications is Wednesday 29th July, with the national final selection taking place the following week on July 22nd.
You will need to be available for any rehearsals, press calls, fittings and any other media related activities in the days running up to the event.
