It’s sunday. It’s 5pm. the shops are shut. the kids are napping. the gigs not till late. I’m bored. I ask for Adult Entertainment! comedy, tragedy, songs, laughter, tears. I ask for dark humour and double entendre.. and they give it too me.
Enter ‘Baby Vegas’ . This little gem of a sunday afternoon comes to you from the chandelier encrusted, classic poster pasted and darkened corners of the Sheebeen Chic vaults on Georges street. Like many gigs of an intimate nature it is the audience that makes the show and oh how Kristin Kapelli as Dolores Diamante reels them in with her sultry voiced ways. Patrick Fagan as Ricky Roulette has something he’d like to show you - it’s a big one. The Amazing Pav accompanies on Piano, guitar or fiddle. I’ve been going for the past few weeks, and sunday blued as I may be, I always leave here with a smile. Check out this two hour exit from reality for yourself and bring your boa.
