world cultures festival

...

I found out about this gig because I was told about it by Gar from The riptide Movement.

Gar Byrne Festival of world cultures this weekend!

240,000 people went last year! Gonna be beast!

So I went to the website of The Festival Of World Cultures but I couldn’t find the lads listed anywhere on there.

I’ve never been to the event. I don’t know anyone who has off the top of my head. You’d think I would considering 240,000 people went…..

Anyhow whilst I can’t find them on the slot list Gar and the lads are playing between 1 and 9, odd i know and they are doing 3 slots!

Without sounding like I’m not all for the gig…. I couldn’t find a logo/ banner and the about page didn’t tell me much either…. I got the one above from pix.ie

If anyone has been…. feel free to leave a comment and tell me more.

I might just take the DART to out on sunday

  1. Peter, you’ll love it. Just go. It’s a brilliant event and I’m v proud to be as involved as I have been.

Loads of photos from last year over on Pix.ie and on Flickr.

And just for the record, myself, Darragh and Joerg were all at it last year, in fact Darragh & I were volunteers. Might have to do another post on it :D

aaaaaah you two crazy cats  I just found finding info for the ‘never been there before…’ a little difficult to grab. But then the joys of blog posts - information for those who do to share with those who don’t…. ;)

just found out the lads are playing the buskers corner :)

    100% great gig I’m sure. 240,000 peeps can’t be wrong. :)

Absolutely love the Festival of World Cultures. Worked in the production office for it a few years ago (just for 2 weeks) but it was such good craic and the two days of the actual festival itself were so much fun. Didn’t make it out last year and now I’ll be away this weekend - I’m gutted. There’s just such a great laidback atmosphere and if the weather’s nice (fingers crossed!) you can’t beat it. And it’s cheap!!!

    Have I sold it enough??
