There’s a man who comments on it everyday.
He goes by the name of Chris P Pancake.
I’ve met this man numerous times and I consider him a good friend, so I’d like to help him in putting the word out about an event that he’s organising.
Long story short it’s a benefit night in memory of Phil Smyth, a friend of Chris. It’s to help raise funds for the medical and hospital bills as well as funeral expenses. It’s not my business to post about the full details of events leading up to this, but I think you can appreciate that none of it was easy.
Anyway, it is short notice, but the event is happening tonight in the Straw Hall in the Strawberry beds, Chapelizod in Dublin. Why so short notice? These are ordinary people organising an event themselves, no PR or fancy shtuff like that, which is why I said I’d give it a plug.
Enough of the serious business, it’s shaping up to be a great night with music and a BBQ, spot prizes and the man himself Chris DJ-ing as the one and only “Brother Lee Dub”.
It’s planned to kick off at 7.30pm until the wee hours and beyond, so if you’re around looking for something to do, this would be a great way to start your weekend, and you’d be lending a hand to a very worthy and very appreciative cause.
If you can’t make it, but know of someone who might be, sure pass along the word - all are welcome and it’ll be Proper Bo.
