The Take Away Shows make perfect sense to me. Hosted on http://www.blogotheque.net/ they capture musicians performing two or three of their songs in unique and unusual locations. Think of it as Balcony TV if they ever realised that there is a great big world outside that damn balcony.
The majority of episodes take place in or around Paris. Filmed by Vincent Moon they consist of a single take that along with the location combine to create unique versions of familiar songs.
What makes the Take Away Shows stand out are the calibre of performers they attract. Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, The National, Arcade Fire, The Shins, Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens, Of Montreal, Vampire Weekend, Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes, Amanda Palmer, Yo La Tengo and Tom Jones are just some of the artists that make an appearance. To put it mildly it’s a hipster’s wet dream.

P.S. I couldn’t embed the Fleet Foxes episode but it is the one I recommend the most and can be found here. (http://www.blogotheque.net/Fleet-Foxes,4521)
