I Pledge Allegiance to…Duke Special

Alternative title: The Music Industry is Dead, Long Live Music Duke Special announces his new venture today via PLEDGE MUSIC. Essentially, as he now no longer has a record label, he is going down the DIY route to produce and release his albums. To help raise funds, he is offering all sorts of unusual Duke artefacts and experiences for which fans can pledge varying amounts. It’s an interesting idea. Duke has a lot of devoted fans who would love the opportunity to own a handwritten Duke Special poem, to write a song with Duke or even to have dinner with him. All of these are being made possible. Some of the funds raised will go towards building a team of promotional people to work on the new Duke releases at press, radio, TV and online.
