You have until Friday February 5th to jump the queue and be “invited” to audition for a new reality show being put together by Screentime ShinAwiL (their caps, and known for The Apprentice & Dragons’ Den) and RTÉ.
The details are under wraps, but there are going to be a series of open auditions in Dublin, Cork and London on dates yet to be announced for a new talent search. They are looking for singers with a strong dance and acting ability to take part in a television series with the aim of giving passionate performers the chance to land their dream job; to star in a national tour of a West End Musical.
The name “Fame” is attached to the TV series, but this may be because there will be a “Fame School” at a secret location and the participants will be required to attend there for three to four days to undertake rehearsals, training and other activities as directed by the “Production Company” as opposed to the actual musical being “Fame”. The participants in the Fame School will then be asked to give performances before a panel of judges. The panel of judges will then select the final participants to go forward to the live studio show from in April. The finalists will go on the live shows and compete over eight weeks each Sunday night live from the Helix on prime time RTÉ One. The winners then go on tour in Ireland during the period of July 2010 to January 2011.
All the rules, terms and conditions are available at the ShinAwiL site.
So, want to apply?
