Competition Closed: Harper’s Island on DVD

*** Competition closed - Congratulations to Davin ***

Part Friday the 13th, part I Know What You Did Last Summer, part And Then There Were None, Harper’s Island was a big hit when it aired on TV last year. Over 13 episodes, the cast of 25 was rapidly whittled down as at least one cast member met their doom each week. They were shot, decapitated, harpooned, stabbed drowned and slice in half. As the finale comes closer, you find yourself drawn into a good old fashioned who-dunnit, with a very pretty cast. ;)

Harper's IslandFrom the creators of LonelyGirl15 and starring the lovely Elaine Cassidy, the story is about the wedding of Henry Dunn and Trish Wellington, which takes place in Harper’s Island. One of the guests, Abby Mills (Cassidy), is still haunted by the murders that happened seven years before, caused by John Wakefield. Suddenly, the wedding guests are killed one by one, and everybody is a suspect. The guests manage to unlock secrets of the island and of Wakefield as the series progresses.

The DVD is out now and we have two copies to give away. Just leave a comment below telling us what your favourite TV show is.

  1. Deirdre Durran says:

I like Flash Forward at the moment.

  2. Niall says:

My favourite show ever is The West Wing. Never has politics been so finely portrayed onscreen. The banter, the intellectual discussions, the hare-brained ideas and the camaraderie are infectious and inviting. It’s akin to having a peep-hole into the actual Oval Office.

I’m watching it back again for the 4th time and it’s still as strong as it was 10 years ago.

  3. Voodoolady says:

You can’t have one favourite show can you?

    Veronica Mars
    Heroes Season 1
    Spaced
    Arrested Development
    Curb your enthusiasm
    30 Rock

    I could go on

I don’t want to win either. Harpers Island was lame,

I have got a loan of the box sets of Spooks Seasons 1, 2 & 3 . Really entertaining series - good cast with attractive actresses for the male viewers.

  8. Jesse Custer says:

    Lost

It’s the only show at the moment that I absolutely cannot miss.
I like to be surprised and intrigued by what I am watching and Lost does this on a continual basis.
I love the whole puzzle element and trying to figure out what the hell is going on.
I have been hooked since the first episode and can’t wait to see how it all ends!

Honourable mentions: The Wire, The West Wing, Deadwood

  11. Peter Balfe says:

  13. Davin says:

Flashforward is great and I am really enjoying it at the moment, I just hope they dont draw it out like lost, i’ll loose interest after the first or second series!

  14. Marion Bruton says:

I love Scrubs. It always makes my laugh out loud.

  15. voodoo says:

Marion, do you not think that Scrubs got shit about 4 years ago?

They should have shut that thing down in 2005.

How did I forget about Mad Men.
