The Guinness Storehouse have big celebrations planned for St. Patrick’s Day as part of their 10 year anniversary celebrations, and in honour of the day they are offering free admission to anyone called Patrick or Patricia, or derivitives thereof, known as VIP passes (Very Important Patrick Pass). Bring some official ID to prove your VIP status.
They’ll have street performers and Arthur Guinness greeting you on the way in, and inside entertainment includes the U2 cover band Rattle & Hum; Jimmy Smyth; Sliotar; The Gravel Walk, DJs and a ceili mor. Naturally you also get to do the Guinness tour and they’ll also be serving Guinness brown bread and samples of two variants of Guinness.
For the rest of us non-Patrick mortals, tickets are €15 with 10% discount for online purchases. St. Patrick’s Day opening hours are from 9.30 to 7pm.
This is brilliant! I love it! Wonder where in the world I would get in somewhere for free!
