The BBC program Merlin will be returning to television screens here on April 2nd. In the US, we’ll see it on the SyFy channel, as NBC dropped the show after its’ first season here. I watched the entire season and found it interesting.
Merlin as a young man, is played by Colin Morgan from co. Armagh, who befriends Arthur, son of Luther Pendragon. Katie McGrath, from Dublin, plays Morgana, who also has magical powers. In the first season, Luther, was against magic and did his best to remove it’s influence from his kingdom. That Merlin and Morgana have magical powers is a secret. Last season, Merlin came to the rescue of Arthur on many occasions and at the conclusion of last season, were more friends than a knight and his servant.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the show progresses this year.
I watched most of the first season on BBC here, though not a lot of the second season (missed cos i never knew it was back on). But i thought it was worth watching and its take on well-known characters inspired. Plus it had the dragon with John Hurt’s voice! A big plus!! lol
Hi Emlyn, yes, John Hurt does a good dragon voice .. he will be HP and the Deathly Hallows as the wand maker Ollivander, part I in November, part II in July of next year. I hate the wait between films, guess I’ll have the time to read all the books a fourth time
Yes of course And yes, plently of time to read the books again lol
