Television update

Time for updates to the television programs that I’ve been following..

The news is out that this will be the final season of Fox’s 24 and starting tonight the final 10 hours begins with a 2-hour show, the program will end with a 2-hour show on May 24th. I just watched tonight’s show, spoiler alert.. at the end of the show, Jack Bauer’s team closed in on the terrorists holding Hassan, killed the terrorists, but were too late to save Hassan, earlier Dana Walsh was caught as a mole in CTU who had tipped off the kidnapper. The Russian government was also thrown into the mix as their ambassador had a quick chat with the President. I think that the Russians are behind all of it, trying to ruin the peace plan and take over the Islamic country. There is also the matter of the dirty (nuclear rods) bomb that is being disarmed, it had 7 seconds left on the clock.

ABC’s V returned last week after a three month break and it was an interesting episode. Anna, along with her daughter, are analyzing Erica’s son Tyler on the ship, not sure what they’re looking for. The priest who was attacked is back, but I’m wondering if the Visitors have done something to him. Near the end of the show, Anna decided that she needed to build an army, to defeat the resistance and take over the Earth, she then chose a rather large Visitor, quickly mated with him, then said “Now I must feed my babies” baring her (CGI) fangs and about to feast on her mate. It was quite a shocker, Anna going “praying mantis” ! :O At the the of this week’s episode, one of the resistance leaders was captured on a V ship, looks like a lot of torture for him. In the preview of next week’s show, Anna said “Love is the greatest flaw of humans, and our best hope to break them.”

ABC’s FlashForward has returned with 3 new episodes which provided a lot more information to the event and those behind it. This week’s episode one mole on the FBI’s Mosaic Team and at the end of show, exposed that two others on the team, including Domenic Monaghan’s genius scientist character. It will be interesting to see where ABC goes with this show, expecting more “shock and awe” before the season ends.

Fox aired a new episode of Fringe last week titled “Peter” which showed what we’ve all known, that his son Peter is from the alternative universe. The real son in this universe died of an undisclosed disease as a child. The father, Dr. Walter Bishop, the show’s mad scientist of sorts, created a window to view the alternative universe, saw the cure created but missed by his alternate self, perfected the cure here, created a doorway to the alternative universe, but the vial with the cure broke.. he took the alternative Peter back here to give him the treatment in his lab, with the intention of returning him to the alternate universe, but his wife entered, held her son, and Walter knew that he could not return him. FBI agent Olivia Dunham knows the truth, and we shall see what happens when Peter is told, and how he reacts to the world shattering truth. In this week’s episode, Olivia told Walter that she had to tell Peter the truth, but at the end of the show, she told Walter that she could not, Walter though said he knows he must tell Peter.

A new episode of NCIS: Los Angleles titled “Hand-to-Hand” aired this week. It was very good, and introduced a new character to the show. For those who have not watched this program yet, it features Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J as the lead agents, Linda Hunt as the team leader who provides the wry humor and intellect, and Daniella Ruah as a rather hot ;) and tough agent.

Have to catch up with ’24′, have to catch ‘V’ from the beginning (though they will be showing it on the Sci-Fi Channel here from the start)

I just don’t watch as much tv as i used to! (apart from True Blood) ;) lol
