International Gay Theatre Festival

Yes I know, I know, I already posted about the Absolut Gay Theatre Festival - but guess what? There are two Dublin gay theatre festivals on at the same time every year. No doubt there is a complicated and interesting back story to that one so if anyone would like to enlighten me, please do The International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival (IDGTF) is in it’s seventh year having first debuted in summer 2004 to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Oscar Wilde. Sandi Thom - Merchants and Thieves

Merchants and Thieves is the third studio release from Scottish singer/songwriter Sandi Thom. It’s the first to be released on Thom’s own label and this brings with it a change of direction for the her. Sandi Thom became both famous and infamous for one song - the extremely catchy and virally marketed I Wish I Was A Punkrocker was huge and seemed to be everywhere for a time. But Thom’s album Smile…It Confuses People proved she was not just a one trick pony. Unfortunately, her difficult second album was fairly poor, lacking any of the life and excitement of her debut. Merchants and Thieves is more of a reinvention. Abandoning pop to a degree, and instead creating a blues sound, Thom has forced her song writing talents to evolve and has managed to put together an album of superb songs.
