Competition Closed: Keith Barry at The Olympia

**Competition Closed. Winners will be contacted**

He’s a trickster, a fast talker and an entertainer (whether you can bring yourself to believe in his talents or not) and Keith Barry is bringing his new show, The Asylum, to the Olympia Theatre next month. It kicks off for a 20-night run on June 30th and finishes July 25th and promises to leave you ‘Shocked! Astounded! Mind boggled! Disturbed! Confused!’

The man who’s escaped from being tied up in a burning shed and impressed audiences with mind reading and sleight of hand hasn’t revealed quite what the new show will involve but if the ‘unsuitable for children’ warning and the advice that audience participation will feature heavily is anything to go by, it sounds like Barry’s going to be up to his old tricks.

It's a kinda magic...

He’s known for predicting future events from match results to celebrity break-ups and impressing his audience with mind reading and hypnosis. Last week, a few of us were lucky enough to be in the audience for the filming of his appearance on Tonight With Craig Doyle, where Craig opened a sealed package that the magician left on his last appearance. The package contained the same word Craig picked at random from a dictionary and predictions that David Cameron would win the UK election among other things.

Of course, it’s hard to take such claims on faith and if like me you’ll always doubt that he can read minds until he reads yours and always think that just maybe the hypnotised and impressed are complicit in the deception - then you’ll be wanting the chance to witness for yourself and so Culch.ie have two pairs of tickets for his July 7th show to give away!

All you need to do enter is leave us a comment and we’ll pick two winners at random on June 7th.

If you’re not lucky enough to win, you can buy tickets at €28 a pop and aim for opening night when you’re booking… his last prediction on Tonight With Craig Doyle was ‘Craig Doyle strips naked at The Asylum opening night’. :)
