Dublin Shakespeare Festival, 7 to 12 June

Free Shakespeare in Dublin’s city centre for a week. That is all.

The Dublin Shakespeare festival is back for its 2nd year with 45 free performances around the city from 12 to 5pm next Monday to Sat, along with full performance of As You Like it (paid) each evening. The day time performances are all extracts and so they’re short enough if you’re just taking a break from work. Venues include Stephen’s Green and Merrion Square, the docklands, Trinity and Christchurch cathedral.

See full details here.

I’m hoping to catch the death scene from Romeo & Juliet which takes place in the crypt of Christchurch cathedral, or the Tempest which takes place in front of Dublin bay.

It’s an opportunity not to be missed.
