The Last Airbender, Resident Evil: Afterlife & The Green Hornet

Up first we’ve got an exclusive featurette from Paramount’s upcoming ‘The Last Airbender’. It’s a high octane fantasy adventure directed by M. Night Shyamalan. The film has its roots in an animated TV series called ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ which has been really popular. The film opens in Irish cinemas on the 13th and you can view this exclusive clip below:

Next up are two clips from San Diego’s Comic Con which took place a couple of weeks ago. First is ‘The Green Hornet’ directed by Michel Gondry and starring Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Cameron Diaz and Christoph Waltz. The film isn’t due for release until early next year but it looks good. Rogen plays Britt Reid who moonlights as a masked crimefighter called The Green Hornet accompanied by his similarly masked valet, martial arts expert Kato (Chou). The original release date this year was pushed out to give time to a planned 3D conversion. Check out the clip from the Con:

Finally we’ve got ‘Resident Evil: Afterlife’. I have to admit, I haven’t seen the three films in the series so far with the original back in 2002, Apocalypse in ’04 and Extinction in ’07. Video game inspired films generally don’t do all that well but the franchise has well financially and the fourth films brings that element we’re all familiar with for 2010: 3D. It’s out September 10th so check out the clip from the panel below:
