If there’s one performance from this year’s Electric Picnic that really stood out for me, it was Villagers. I had expected them to be quite good but it was a stunning, soul piercing performance from a band growing in confidence daily. The debut album, Becoming A Jackal, has been universally acclaimed and was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize 2010. Conor and co aren’t standing still and have just announced the following tour dates nationwide:
Mon 13th Dec: Waterford, The Forum
Tues 14th Dec: Kilkenny, Set Theatre
Wed 15th Dec: Cork, Savoy Theatre
Fri 17th Dec: Limerick, St Johns Church
Sat 18th Dec: Galway, Black Box
Sun 19th Dec: Belfast, Limelight
Tues 21st Dec: Dublin, Vicar Street
We’ve got a pair of tickets for the non-Dublin gigs up for grabs. All you have to do is leave a comment below telling us which date you’d like to attend. We’ll pick a winner on Friday, 1st October.
