Imagine being buried alive. Paul Conroy (Ryan Reynolds) finds himself in just such a predicament. Waking up to find himself 6 feet under the unassuming truck driver has 90 minutes to escape before he runs out of oxygen. Armed with just a lighter and cellphone, and absolutely no idea where he is escape is a lot easier said than done.
Verdict: A taut and claustrophobic thriller Buried is edge of your seat stuff. Rodrigo Cortes minimalist direction allows Reynolds to command the screen and he manages to give a completely convincing performance. Palpable tension permeates this movie and it’s one that will haunt you weeks after.
