Competition: Theatre - Smitten and Can’t Stand Up for Falling Down @ The Teachers’ Club

We got wind of the upcoming La Touche Players productions at The Teachers’ Club on d’Twitter. They’re two one-act plays kicking off next Tuesday (22nd) at 8pm and running nightly until Saturday 26th and we very much like the look of them. The first, Smitten, directed by Karen Maher, is based in humdrum suburbia and commences with the innocent meeting of two people on a stormy night. The rub? Each of them is hiding a deep secret. Meanwhile, Can’t Stand Up for Falling Down under the direction of Emily Maher is the story of three women from the same village - Lynette, Ruby and Jodie - telling us about their lives up to now and how one man has had a profound effect on each of them in an interweaving tale.
