Behind the Scenes of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol

I wouldn’t usually post items like this, but…last week, I was in Dubai and one of the features of my week was to visit the top of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. Today, I watched some behind the scenes footage of Tom Cruise actually abseiling (and generally bouncing around) on the outside of this magnificent tower. I am in awe. Tom, I forgive all the crazy - you are amazing. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is in cinemas on 26th December. Check out the full trailer below:

On the sixth day of Mixtape Culch.ie gave to you… the song choice of a genuine authority on all things winter Mr Kieran Frost. Frost? Winter? See? Yeah maybe we’ll just get on with the mixtape… There are times when a cover is better than the real thing, and this is probably the best example ever. The original song is overplayed, and to me, sounds dated (and the meaning is lost behind all that synth). Step in Florence and her Machine who covered it a few weeks back at a BBC Introducing gig in London. Accompanied by acoustic guitar and harp her voice gives the song completely new meaning.   Kieran Frost is a music photographer. I went to the recording of Republic of Telly last Sunday (and before you ask yes Dermot is kinda cute up close!) and the extremely talented Steve Cummins was the warm up, get the audience in a laughing mood guy. So being the nice person I am I sent him a message the next day telling him I really enjoyed his stuff. I was not prepared for his response, which went along the lines of on the off-chance that you are pregnant I have a new book out… or if you want to get pregnant that would be great. Hmmm. I’m not really feeling in the mood to get pregnant at the moment so we made a compromise which involves me telling all you lovely people about his new book. We all know there a about a gazillion books out there to help women through pregnancy from what to expect … There’s more →
