From Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th of July, the ‘Carlsberg Comedy Carnival’ will bring some of the best stand-up talent in the world to Dublin. This year the line-up includes such notable names as Tommy Tiernan, Des Bishop, Colin Murphy, Bo Burnham, Ardal O’Hanlon and Reginald D. Hunter. Carlsberg is the new King of Comedy it seems having taken up the mitre of hosting the Kilkenny Cat Laughs festival at the end of May and now launching year two of the Comedy Carnival in the beautiful Iveagh Gardens in Dublin. The Carnival runs from 23rd until 26th July and, much like the Cat Laughs does for Kilkenny, the Comedy Carnival brings an air of lazy hazy summer to Dublin. The line-up includes the usuals like Des Bishop, Jason Byrne, Andrew Maxwell and PJ Gallagher but also has some very exciting “new-comers” and names maybe not as well known in Ireland.
