Continuing the round of festival-related news in these parts, the leccy piccy line-up announcement at POD yesterday. GIGS The Workman’s Club, at 10 Wellington Quay, Dublin 2, welcomes Damien Dempsey, for a one off intimate club date on Wednesday 15 September to open the club. Support on the night will be from Eoin Glackin. Tickets Dundalk based Blind Pilots formed as a quartet of sixteen year old schoolboys with aspirations of making atmospheric indie-pop with a nostalgic tinge. Now they are 21 as comparatively auld fellas at the age of 21. They released their AA single (that’s Double A I think) in The Spirit Store, Dundalk, Co. Louth, on Saturday 28 August. Following on from both positive audience reaction on the night and positive online reaction Blind Pilots have decided to make the two tracks Rosé Cheeks and Cocktail available for free for the foreseeable future.
