The song starts off simply, then gets complicated, then fugue-like then sort of messy. There is simply too much going on here in a “wall of mostly harmonic noise” style as opposed to a “wall of sound”. This is my brain intellectuality trying to figure out why my heart changed its mind halfway through the song. Part of it is probably from a memory. School disco, not the adult in ill fitting uniforms that go on today, but an actually school disco. A midtempo song cleared the dancefloor. Too slow to dance to, and too fast to slow dance to.
