Looks like while the rest of us were enjoying/enduring the season of goodwill and family, DJ Earworm was very busy mashing together the top 25 billboard hits of 2010 in to his yearly mashup. He is good at this, he has after all written the book about mashups.This year in music was about, well, going forth and enjoying yourself. In his own words, “This year’s music tells us to keep going now that we’re up and having fun. In fact, the fun seems to be in such overdrive that it borders on recklessness. Usher urges us to ‘dance like it’s the last night of your life”, and Katy Perry wants us to “run away and don’t ever look back”. I’m love Annie Lennox. Not only her voice but with the words, the commitments, the energy, the enthusiasm, the experiences, the causes, the drives and the smashing website she has. Saw a great mashup on YouTube today courtesy of DJ Earworm called Backwords/Forwards, combining many of her best hits: Oh Ms Lennon, how much I love your voice. Sing at my funeral? I cannot think of one other voice I’d like to soar above the rafters as my coffin is wheeled down the aisle.
