Prom Night

This is a weekend full of interesting alternative activities. If you’re as brave as me and have a decent pair of wellies, why not join us for the Culchie Festival in Leitrim. It’ll be great craic. Fairy God Mother and one of Ireland’s premiere Drag Queens, Veda, has teamed up with Irish Gay Youth Charity, BeLonG To, to bring you the second ever official Ireland Gay Prom. On Sunday 24th October, 500 members of Ireland’s LGBT Community will converge on the Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, for a night of high class entertainment, an array of special guest performances, delicious food and dancing until the wee hours. No Rain But Lots of Rainbows

Dublin will explode in colour this weekend and right through until next weekend as Dublin’s Pride Festival 2010 kicks off. The quays are already strewn with the rainbowed flags of the LGBTQ and with great weather promised, it should be a fun week. The George, the Queen of Irish Gay bars has polished of her tiara and brought out her crown jewels to celebrate Pride 2010! At the young age of 25, The George has been there through almost every Pride Festival in our fair city and has seen it all.
