Trailer Trash - Nov 3rd, 2009

The last week as seen a spate of new trailers, clips and featurettes appear for forthcoming features. Most of these are for the big Christmas time releases but some are for movies of a more unknown nature. First up is a trailer and TV-spot for the oft-delayed, and much anticipated, John Hillcoat adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s seminal novel The Road. The story sees a father and his son walk alone through a post-apocalyptic America. Their destination is the warmer south, although they don’t know what, if anything, awaits them there. Their only possessions are a pistol to defend themselves, the clothes on their backs, a rusting shopping cart of scavenged food, and each other. Charlize Theron, Viggo Mortensen, Robert Duvall, and Guy Pearce star in what is shaping up to be an incredible movie. The film is out January 8th, 2010.
