Yes, like everyone else, I fell in love with that cookie little go-getter, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, long before I knew that Jeff Dunham likes to stick his hand up a variety of characters, but he has grown to become one of my all time favourite comedians. I love his Comedy Central specials, I own the DVDs and I even have an Achmed doll. Yeah, I’m that guy. So…I was thrilled to hear he’ll be in the O2 Dublin this Saturday on his Controlled Chaos tour with all of his usual friends Walter, Bubba J, Achmed, Peanut and José the Jalapeño on a Steeeek and a few more besides. *** Competition Closed *** *** Congratulations to Sinead W *** I have good news and bad news and good news and good news. The good news is that the hilarious American ventriloquist, Jeff Dunham, of Achmed the Dead Terrorist fame is coming to Dublin next month. He will be in the Grand Canal Theatre on April 18th for one night only. The bad news is that the show is completely sold out. For love nor money, I could not get a ticket. I was devastated. I hit the bottle. I was living out of a ditch for weeks. None of my friends would talk to me. It was awful. BUT…there is a spark of hope.

Jeff Dunham gig moved to a new venue - more tickets due on sale

I mentioned the Jeff Dunham gig before. More news about it in the press release that follows: Due to phenomenal demand, Raglane Entertainment have announced that the Jeff Dunham show scheduled for The Olympia Theatre, Dublin on April 18, 2010 has been moved to the brand new Grand Canal Theatre in Dublin. With the original venue having sold out in a day, a limited number of tickets will go on sale on Friday November 20 at 9am from Ticketmaster and usual outlets. Tickets are €44.50 and €49.50 including booking fee. Customers who hold tickets for the original Olympia date must exchange their tickets in advance of the show, from point of purchase. Grand Canal Theatre is Ireland’s brand new 2,100 seat venue. Designed by Daniel Libeskind, the theatre has been designed as a receiving house for musicals, theatre, ballet and opera and will be operated by Live Nation and owned … There’s more →

SILENCE!! I KILL YOU!!! Batten down the hatches, lock away your virgin daughters, remove the bins from the street and check under your car with mirrors - we’ve just been told that Achmed the Dead Terrorist - the terrifying terrorist - is coming to Dublin next year for the first time, bringing his friend Jeff Dunham, who also happens to be the highest grossing stand-up comedian in the world, with him. Don’t know who that is? Not one of the people who have seen this You Tube video at least one of the 96,615,200 times (at time of writing)? Tickets on sale this Friday 16 for Dublin’s Olympia Theatre and cost €44.50. Gonna be a great one!
