The A-Team Review

As most people know, The A-Team was a popular television series that ran for five seasons from 1983 to 1986. Even people that didn’t grow up watching the show are familiar with the catch phrases and characters that followed its aftermath. I’m very surprised that an A-Team feature film hasn’t graced our cinema screens before this summer but it’s here now and it most certainly the epitome of a summer blockbuster. The television show was loved for its characters and over the top action sequences and I believe that the movie brings those exact qualities to the big screen. With a very lovable cast and some great one liners, there is some great chemistry to enjoy. A little bit of movie news to brighten up your Monday. Here is the first official look the all new A-Team line-up featuring Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as Sgt. “B.A.” Baracus, Sharlto Copley as Capt. “Howling Mad” Murdock, and Liam Neeson as John “Hannibal” Smith. The new A-Team movie will be directed by Narc and Smoking Aces helmer Joe Carnahan, and also stars Jessica Biel. The movie will hit cinemas on June 11th 2010. In a word? AWESOME!

So, Hollywood’s latest crazy idea craze is to put the Gods on screen. I mentioned that Christopher Columbus is bringing the story of Poseidon’s 12-year-old half-human son to the screen; well now it seems Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes have signed up to play Zeus and Hades respectively in Clash of the Titans. So, because I was in recovery mode for much of yesterday I couldn’t find time to post the Movie News. Sorry… Firstly, spare a thought for the family of Natasha Richardson today. Natasha, aged 45, passed away last night as a result of injuries sustained in her skiing accident a few days ago. She leave behind her husband, Liam Neeson, two children, Michael and Daniel and is also survived by her mother Vanessa Redgrave. Kevin Costner and Tommy Lee Jones are set to star in The Company Men, a drama about the impact that a corporate downsizing has on both its casualties and survivors. Natasha Richardson seriously injured in ski accident

Actress Natasha Richardson, the wife of Liam Nesson, the daughter of Vanessa Redgrave has been in a serious ski accident and is said to be in critical condition in a hospital. It’s believed she was taken to a hospital near the ski resort of Mont Tremblant, about 75 miles from Montreal suffering from a ‘traumatic brain injury.”
