The Paulaner Oktoberfest Dublin is in its second year now at Georges Dock in the IFSC. Darren has already had a competition to win tickets to dinner at the opening night here (hurry it closes today!). Last year over 70,000 people attended and if the huge increase in attendees to SeptemberFest this year is anything to go by, it’s going to be huge! Running from Thursday 8 to Sunday 18 October, the Oktoberfest will celebrate all things Bavarian but especially the beer. A Bavarian band, Mostland Stürmer will entertain every lunch time from 12 to 2pm and in the evenings from 6pm. As you listen to the band you can wander around the various stalls selling delicious Paulaner Weiss Bier, Wurst (German sausage), Sauerkraut (pickled cabbage), Bretzels, pastries, and a host of other Bavarian favourites such as smoked ham, potato pancakes, cheese, mushrooms and dumplings.
