Some of you guys had really interesting things to say about my last post, and Darren’s comment, along with Amanda’s recent post on upcoming new shows, got me thinking about following it up, but this time taking a look at TV shows, and the effects that the digital age and the internet have had on some of our favourite TV shows. You might think “not a lot,” but you might also be in for a surprise. Serial media is something of a scary phrase, but we’re all familiar with the concept behind it: whether it’s TV shows, comics or even book or movie series, we’re all used to the concept of a story that expects us to come back for more, usually with some cliffhanger leaving us desperate for resolution.
