The email for Peadar King’s latest album The Shadowlands came in as per the usual route, except, it was without a press release… Peadar who….? I don’t really mind not getting the blurb, but I’d never [no offence] heard of Peadar…. I’ll admit habits, good or bad, die hard. And like taking a quick leaf through a magazine whilst waiting for Mary [a lady's name chosen at random] to make a decision on whether the feck she really likes those shoes, I did the quick track shuffle through. All the while I’m canning the songs, in a tin, sealed, and there’s my label on it and then I pop them back on the shelf. I am, in short, seeking what is known as, the corker. That song.
