Review: Stornoway - Beachcomber’s Windowsill

Remember how annoyed you were when your younger brother told everyone that he’d heard Mumford and Sons before you, and that it was actually him that turned you on to them? Well, by now he’s probably done the same to you with Stornoway. Honestly, try to keep up. Stornoway - four immensely talented and, let’s face it, easy-on-the-eye lads in, er … trilbys - is a band enjoying some serious buzz at the moment. The lads were shortlisted for BBC’s Sound Of 2010, and with good reason; this is the kind of folk-pop that makes you feel clever and content.
