Yes, another talent show! There is a serious tidal wave of talent shows on tv these days from X Factor to Britain’s Got Talent, America’s Got Talent, American Idol, Dancing on Ice, Strictly Come Dancing, Popstar to Operastar etc. etc. One of the American ones I have always enjoyed, though not watched religiously, has been So You Think You Can Dance. So You Think You Can Dance came to the UK this year and the show is being broadcast on Saturdays on BBC and now Sky One have come up with a similar type of dance talent show. All Ireland Talent Show

It looks like RTÉ are all set to make a second series of the ‘All Ireland Talent Show’. I can’t say I watched it earlier this year but over half a million people tuned in to watch the first episode and with county against county, you can be sure lots of people will get behind it again this season. And first prize is €50,000-surely that’s worth trying out for? They ask ‘Do you dance, tell a joke, juggle, play an instrument, sing, or perform with a pet?
