The Movie Year in Preview - January

In the first of a 12 part series I take a look at what you can expect to see in Irish cinemas in the year ahead. 2010 promises to be another bumper year on the cinematic front, as new technologies and old favourites make their way on to the silver screen. I have tried to get the release dates as accurate as possible but some may move in the coming months. Popcorn at the ready, here we go…

Down by the Bayou 3 - The Princess and the Frog update

Walt Disney Pictures have unveiled a new featurette for their forthcoming traditional animated tale The Princess and the Frog. Now we here at Culch are always very excited when any news on a Disney movie comes out, but most especially when it’s news concerning that venerated institutions return to the animated style which made it famous. This new film clip talks about the magic of villain Dr. Facilier (voiced by Keith David) and Mama Odie (voiced by Jennifer Lewis). The movie which is opening on December 11th in the US won’t be seen in Ireland until February 5th, 2010.
